the prompt is: Describe the world you come from — for example, your family, community or school — and tell us how your world has shaped your dreams and aspirations. (this is for UC schools in california) this what i have come up with my intro. Like a computer has a restart button, I have a restart button of my own. I was born into an Afghan family in Mazar-Sharif, Afghanistan in the year 1992 where the power button was first turned on. Four years later, I restarted when my family was fortunate enough to escape the Taliban in 1996 and flee to Moscow, Russia. Five years after that, my family jumped at the opportunity to immigrate to the United States of America. In 2001, at the age of 8, we had settled in Lansing, Michigan. I had to restart all over again and learn a completely different language and adapt to a foreign culture just like before. The only difference was I knew what was going on, seeing that I was much more mature and aware of my surroundings. Eight years later, after getting comfortable, meeting memorable people and making unforgettable friendships, my family decided to push the restart button one last time and move to Los Angeles, California. what do you think?? how can i improve it? where should i go with this in my body paragraphs? btw, my aspiration is to become a neurosurgeon. thank you so muchhh....
