We live in Michigan and my husband has an opportunity to apply to the Spring Hill Tennessee GM plant. He works with a lot of people that came to Lansing to work up from Tennessee and they are all telling him to go for it. I myself was raised in New York, came here as a 6 year old and have always had difficulty being accepted in our community-we're in a very strict religious ethnic group of folks. Out of staters are not readily accepted-esp. if you are non-church going. I think I would love the South. One of my best friends is from Alabama. Well I suppose that is enough-plus we have very little family here-only my husband's side. My daughter is 19 and wants to move too. Any advice and/or reassurance would help. Thank you!
